About Victor Buyck
Victor Buyck Steel Construction (VBSC) is a leading international steel construction company. With ingenious solutions and a driven organization, VBSC contributes to the success of its clients in government and the private sector.
Their clients are mainly within Europe, but they have also launched projects (such as bridges or parts thereof) in Ghana, Trinidad, Panama and Malaysia.
Using LeanForms within VBSC.
VBSC builds structures such as bridges, lock gates and high-rise buildings; in short, infrastructure that is publicly accessible. This kind of work requires a lot of registrations to guarantee the safety of the structures. In order to structure these registrations, they started using LeanForms.
Although there are still many ideas ready to expand the use of LeanForms within VBSC in the future, the focus now is on quality management of component construction, as well as safety inspections in manufacturing.
Quality inspection form
With the introduction of the quality inspection form, many things have become clearer, both for production staff and QC inspectors.
Previously, there were discrepancies between what the production staff understood and what the QC staff meant. Open-ended answers, which were open to interpretation, often created ambiguity.
This is eliminated with the use of LeanForms, by effectively providing “yes and no answers” in the form. The questions are cleverly and clearly worded, eliminating the possibility of interpretation.
The quality inspection form is very user-friendly for users. The form contains several hundred questions, however, the user only gets to see the questions relevant to him. Anything that does not apply to the specific user, he also does not get to see.
The form evolves as it is completed.
Complete process automation without IT complexity
Real-time insight and visual dashboards
Work smarter, faster and error-free with one system
Eliminate paper streams with efficient digitization
Benefits of working with LeanForms
“You don’t have to be a software developer to build a form, and therefore the system is also very maintainable,” Karel said.
This is sometimes more difficult with, say, a custom ERP or MRP system.
The added value of LeanForms compared to other packages for VBSC is that you can run the forms according to a certain flow. This eliminates the need to work with all kinds of separate ‘.pdf’ files.
For VBSC, the ultimate goal of using LeanForms is to raise quality to a higher level, thereby reducing repairs and ensuring that the right things are checked at the right time.
“With the introduction of the quality inspection form, many things have become clearer, both for production staff and QC inspectors.”

Getting a grip on quality and safety: from capturing to improving
We often already record. But improving requires more than just recording.

Customer speaks: Daiwa House
Daiwa House Modular Europe (DHME) is Europe’s largest construction company specializing in modular construction. What once began as Jan Snel in 1960 grew into a leading construction company that is part of Japan’s Daiwa House Group, the world’s largest industrial builder. With four production locations in the Netherlands and about 700 employees in Europe, DHME delivers complete housing solutions suitable for at least 80 to 100 years of use: From family homes and student housing to care and accommodation projects. From the ultramodern robotized factory in Montfoort, thousands of new housing modules roll off the assembly line each year.
Advanced workflows step by step
Digitization does not stop at replacing paper forms with a digital alternative. The real gain comes when processes become smarter. Workflows play a key role in this: By setting up digital forms intelligently, the system automatically streamlines the follow-up based on the answers. This gives your organization grip, speed and peace of mind and makes digitization work for you.
