What is BCM?
Business Continuity Management (BCM) is also known as business continuity management. It is a management process that identifies potential threats to an organization and provides a framework for dealing with those threats.
It aims to ensure the continuity of an organization’s business process and survival under all circumstances. The added value is that an organization achieves business continuity by being able to continue to provide products and services to its customers despite being affected by a disaster. This limits the financial and image damage.
BCM provides workable measures, both preventive and repressive. Think backups, an evacuation plan or a contingency plan with fallback provisions for employees, IT and telephony.
