What is BI?
Business intelligence (BI) helps organizations make and substantiate operational and strategic decisions. Here BI uses the knowledge present in and around the organization. Large amounts of data are converted into usable information.
The purpose of BI is to translate present data into information based on which you direct your business. Characteristic of a BI system is data visualization and analysis of data from your software applications.
Important advantages of BI are that all information is in one central place, a lot of time can be saved by automatically collecting data, and better decisions can be made because deeper data can be delved into.
