Process Improvement

Process improvement involves: Controlling a process, improving the quality it produces and reducing costs associated with it. This can be done by preventing waste (Lean) and defects (Six Sigma).

We can conclude that process improvement, due to continuous development, is a timeless endeavor. This makes it necessary to work on it daily. Only in this way will we work towards a more efficient organization and be ready for a continuously changing environment.

It starts with “dissecting” the process. You need to know what the process steps are, who initiates the process and what the output of the process should be. The best way to work out a process is to create a SIPOC. A SIPOC helps you get a concise overview of your process.
