Work processes are ordered series of process steps performed within one organizational unit within an organization for the purpose of making a specific contribution (performance) to a service that will eventually be delivered to a citizen, a business or another organization.
Thus, a work process is a defined number of actions or activities. It starts with the demand for a product or service and ends with its delivery. A work process is well designed if it has a clear beginning and end, this process is clearly defined for the person who owns it and a manager can give direction based on this process.
