Quality Assurance Act
The Quality Assurance Act should ensure that the quality of construction works is improved and the position of the client is strengthened. By improving that position, these principals are better able to represent their interests with respect to construction quality.
The Wkb aims to improve construction quality and construction supervision through the use of private quality assurance companies. It also expands contractors’ liability to private and professional clients. The law goes into effect in phases.
More quality, fewer mistakes. That is the main objective of the Quality Assurance Act. And the intention is to achieve this by tightening supervision and expanding liability. It is up to the contractor, the builder, to prove that the construction work has been realized according to the regulations. So construction companies must (start) documenting construction projects properly.
