The essence of TQM is to do business activities “right the first time. By eliminating potential mistakes, you can be more efficient and operate and save costs as a company.
Management is responsible for the TQM system. It is their tool. Managers enable team leaders and operators to perform the work by removing obstacles and making them work with good standards. From this comes process control: the output of the work is stable, error-free and right the first time. This leads to low costs and improved competitiveness.
